Top Shopify Shoe Stores, Ranked by Traffic

Shoes are hard to sell online because nobody can try them on, and the shoe brands that do well on Shopify have found ways around that. This page ranks the shoe stores Koala tracks by estimated monthly visits and rebuilds the ranking every Monday.

Updated October 12, 2026. Part of the Shopify Niche Index, refreshed every Monday from Koala's own store data.

The biggest Shopify shoe stores right now

The biggest Shopify shoe store right now is Steve Madden (www.stevemadden.com), with about 7.2M visits a month. Orthofeet® (4M) and ALDO (3.1M) come next. Below are the 57 busiest stores whose main business is shoe, out of the 3,051 Shopify shoe stores we track, ranked by estimated monthly visits.

Visits are Koala's modeled estimates for September 2026 unless a row shows another month.

Bigger stores that also sell shoe

These stores carry shoe products but do most of their business elsewhere, so they sit outside the ranking above.

How to use this list

Sort the stores by type before you compare them. Multi-brand sneaker and footwear retailers run catalogs with thousands of styles, while comfort, orthopedic and barefoot brands often sell a short range and still rank near the top. If you are launching your own shoe in a few colors and widths, that second group is your benchmark, because it shows how far a focused line can go with the right product page.

On each store you shortlist, follow the sizing journey from start to finish. Is there a size chart or a fit finder, are half sizes and widths easy to pick, do reviews say whether a shoe runs small, and how generous is the exchange policy? Size chart and fit apps show up on shoe stores far more often than across Shopify as a whole, so buyers in this niche have come to expect that help.

Most of the stores on the list are American, with a strong group of Indian brands behind them, so check each store's currency and shipping countries before you treat it as a direct competitor.

Koala Inspector shows how any of these stores is put together in one click: the theme, every installed app (sizing tools included), and the full catalog with each product's variants and likely best sellers. For a few tokens it adds the store's traffic sources and the Google and Facebook ads it is running.
