Best Selling Products on Shopify Right Now (September 2026)

Best Selling Products on Shopify Right Now (September 2026)

Every "top 50 products to sell" post is written months in advance from the same recycled list. This one is different in a boring, useful way: every product below was observed on a live Shopify store, and we name the store.

The short answer

Across the stores Koala tracks, the categories moving in September 2026 are at-home beauty devices, sleep and recovery gear, small charging and phone accessories, mood lighting and home decor, and screen-free kids' products. Individual winners inside those categories skew cheap, visual, and easy to demonstrate in a six-second video.

That is the pattern. Below are the products it is built from.

Koala continuously watches trending products across the Shopify stores it tracks and surfaces one flagged product per store. The table below is drawn from the sample taken on 17 September 2026, and the last column counts how many of the 34 samples taken between 22 June and 17 September 2026 the product appeared in. A product that holds for 30 of 34 samples is not a two-day spike.

Bar chart comparing how many of 34 Koala trend samples each of the ten Shopify products appeared in

How to read this: a longer bar means the product held its place across the whole three-month window rather than flaring for a week. All ten appeared in at least 29 of the 34 samples.

A caveat worth stating plainly, because most lists skip it. These are the stores Koala tracks, not all of Shopify, and a flagged product is a momentum signal rather than an audited sales figure. Treat the table as ten live leads to go and verify, and the section below as the part that actually transfers.

What the winners have in common

Five traits repeat across nearly every product in that table, and they are more portable than the products themselves.

They are impulse-priced. A charger, a lamp, a puzzle and a skincare wand are all things somebody buys without a second conversation, which is what lets a cold-traffic ad close the sale in one visit. The Premium Cold Tub is the exception in the table and it works on the opposite logic: one sale pays for a lot of clicks, so it can afford a slow, considered funnel. Pick one of the two models and build the whole store for it.

They solve a complaint the buyer already has. Nobody wakes up wanting a memory foam pillow. They wake up with a sore neck. Cables, dull skin, kids on screens, a stiff back after training: every product above attaches to a grievance the buyer can name before they see your ad.

They demonstrate in under ten seconds. This is the trait most people underrate. A sunset lamp, an LED mask and a skincare wand all show their result on camera with no explanation. Products that need a paragraph to be understood lose on paid social, where the cost of a second of attention is the actual constraint. Before you commit, try to describe the product's payoff in one silent clip. If you cannot, expect your ad costs to be higher than the last person's.

They ship small. Chargers, puzzles, coloring books and wands all cost very little to move, which protects margin on every order. The pillow and the cold tub prove the counterpoint: bulky items work, but only if the price supports the freight, so price them before you source them.

They respect a calendar. The blanket hoodie has been on Koala's trending list since 22 June, well before anyone needed one, because sellers stock a Q4 winner in summer and warm up the audience before the demand arrives. The gaming console is the same bet in a different category. If you are reading a seasonal product in September, you are reading it late for this year and exactly on time for next.

The repeatable method: find the next one yourself

Copying a public list has one guaranteed outcome, which is that you bid against everyone else who read it. The routine below takes about 20 minutes a week and produces leads nobody else has.

Flat vector diagram of a weekly product research loop moving from competitor store to best sellers to trend check to a shortlist

1. Pick five competitors, not five products. Choose stores that sell to the buyer you want, at roughly your price point. Same buyer, similar money. Keep the same five for at least a month so you can see movement.

2. Read each store's best sellers. Open the store with Koala Inspector, browse its catalog and filter to best-selling products. You get the item, its price, its variants and when it was first published. That last field is the one people skip and it is the most useful: a product added six weeks ago that is already a best seller is a rising item, while one added two years ago is a shelf staple. Catalog browsing and the best-seller filter are free, with no token cost.

3. Check momentum with Product Trends. Best sellers tell you what one store moves. Product Trends shows live trending products with sales signals and trend indicators, so you can see what is gaining across stores rather than what one shop happens to stock. It costs 2 tokens, and the free plan includes 15 tokens a month, so this check is affordable weekly.

4. Keep only what appears twice. A product on one competitor's best-seller shelf is an anecdote. The same product on two unrelated stores, or on one best-seller shelf and in the trend view, is a pattern. Write down only the second kind.

5. Price it before you fall in love with it. Source cost, shipping, expected ad cost per order. If the retail price does not cover all three with room left, the product is somebody else's win. Our guide to dropshipping profit margins walks the arithmetic.

6. Check who is already there. Before you launch, look at how many established stores already run it and how deep their app stacks are. A product being sold well by three mature stores is not automatically dead, but it does mean you need an angle rather than a listing. Saturated niches covers how to read that.

Run those six steps every Monday and after four weeks you have a list built from live stores instead of from a blog post. That is the difference between reacting to a trend and arriving with it.

Q4 timing: what mid-September actually means

Illustration of a calendar and shopping bags representing Shopify Q4 peak season planning

The stakes are public. Shopify merchants generated a record $14.6 billion over Black Friday Cyber Monday weekend in 2025, up 27% on the previous year, with 81 million shoppers buying from Shopify-powered brands and an average cart of $114.70, according to Shopify. Shopify's own breakdown named the hottest categories as cosmetics, clothing tops and pants, activewear, and fitness and nutrition. Beauty is the category both that list and Koala's September sample lead with, which is a useful cross-check on the table above.

Here is the calendar as it stands in mid-September.

  • Now through early October: test. You have roughly six weeks to run small budgets against two or three candidates and let the data pick one. Testing after mid-November means paying peak ad prices to learn something you could have learned cheaply in September.
  • October: stock and stage. Once one product converts, commit inventory or lock supplier capacity, and confirm shipping times in writing. A product that arrives on 2 December is a refund.
  • November: sell what already works. Peak week is not the time to introduce an untested item. It is the time to put budget behind the one that earned it.

If you are starting from zero today, pick the lightest, cheapest, most demonstrable candidate you can find. Shipping weight and demo-ability matter more in Q4 than in any other quarter, because the delivery promise is part of the offer and attention is at its most expensive.

The table at the top of this page is a snapshot dated 17 September 2026, and its value decays from that morning onward. The reader who wins Q4 is the one checking live stores every week rather than the one who found the best article.

Install Koala Inspector free, open a competitor in your niche and run Product Trends on it. You will see what is gaining momentum right now, on real stores, before it reaches anybody's list. No card and no trial clock. Then do it again next Monday.

Best selling Shopify products: questions people ask

Straight answers on what sells, how to find it, and whether Q4 is still in reach.

What sells best on Shopify right now?+

In Koala's September 2026 trend data the recurring categories are at-home beauty devices, sleep and recovery gear, small charging and phone accessories, mood lighting and home decor, and screen-free kids' products. Individual winners inside those categories include an LED beauty face mask on ergonomist.au, a memory foam pillow on moon-slide.com and a 3-in-1 magnetic wireless charger on current-supply.com, all observed on 2026-09-17.

How do I find trending products?+

Work from live stores rather than from a list everyone else has. Open a store in your niche with Koala Inspector, filter its catalog to best sellers to see what that one shop actually moves, then open Product Trends to see which items are gaining momentum across stores. Repeat it on five competitors once a week and log what appears twice. Catalog browsing and the best-seller filter are free; Product Trends costs 2 tokens, and the free plan grants 15 tokens a month.

Is it too late to start for Q4?+

No, but the window for a brand-new untested product is closing. Shopify merchants generated a record $14.6 billion over Black Friday Cyber Monday weekend in 2025, up 27% on the year, and the hottest categories were cosmetics, clothing tops and pants, activewear, and fitness and nutrition. Mid-September still leaves time to test two or three products against live ads, keep the one that converts and stock it. What it does not leave time for is a slow-shipping item you have never sold.

Can you make 10k a month on Shopify?+

Yes, and the arithmetic is ordinary rather than exceptional. At a $60 average order value you need about 167 orders a month, which is under six a day. The hard part is the margin behind those orders: a product sourced at $12 and sold at $60 leaves room for ads, shipping and returns, while the same product sold at $25 does not. Pick the product with the margin first and the revenue target becomes a traffic problem instead of a maths problem.

Does Kim Kardashian use Shopify?+

SKIMS, the shapewear brand Kim Kardashian co-founded in 2019, runs on Shopify and is featured by Shopify itself among its Shopify Plus fashion brands. That matters to a product researcher for one reason: the storefront is public, so the same catalog, best-seller and app checks you run on a small competitor work on a nine-figure brand. Big brands are the cheapest merchandising lesson available to you.

Are you ready to upgrade to Shopify Plus?+

Plus is priced for volume, so the honest test is whether your current plan is costing you money rather than whether Plus sounds impressive. Look for three signs: transaction volume where Plus pricing beats standard rates, a checkout you need to customise beyond what the standard plan allows, and enough staff accounts or storefronts that the standard limits pinch. A store still hunting for its first reliable product is not the store that needs Plus.

Are Shopify point of sale payments secure?+

Shopify is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant, the highest level of the card-industry standard, and Shopify states that the certification extends by default to every store powered by the platform, which covers the card payments you take through Shopify POS. For a dropshipper the practical point is that you inherit that compliance rather than building it, which is one less reason to delay testing a product.

Best tool to share Google reviews?+

Most Shopify merchants do it with a review app rather than by hand, and the quickest way to choose one is to see which app the stores already winning your niche have installed. Koala Inspector lists every app on a live Shopify store for free and groups them by type, so you can open three competitors, note which review app repeats, and install that one instead of guessing from the app store's ranking.

Anyone have any recommendations for relatively easy-to-learn consignment software that integrates seamlessly with Shopify?+

Rather than pick from a ranked list, check what consignment and resale sellers on Shopify actually run. Open two or three consignment stores in your category with Koala Inspector and read their installed app list, which is free to see and grouped by type. Apps that show up on more than one live store have already survived a real merchant's setup, which is a better signal than a listing page.

How we measured

  • Sample. 296 flagged trending products, one per store, drawn from the Shopify stores Koala tracks.
  • Window. 34 samples taken between 22 June 2026 and 17 September 2026.
  • Measured on. 17 September 2026.
  • What is and is not counted. A product counts once per store per sample. 189 of the 296 products in the final sample were already present in the first, so roughly a third of the list turned over across the quarter. Non-English product titles were excluded from the table for readability, not from the counts. These figures describe the stores Koala tracks, not the whole Shopify platform, and a flagged product is a momentum signal rather than a verified sales total.
