Kalodata: Everything You Need to Know (2026)

Kalodata is a TikTok Shop analytics and product research platform. It tracks products, shops, creators, videos, ads and livestreams inside TikTok's commerce ecosystem, so sellers can see what is selling, who is selling it, and which content is driving the orders. Its published monthly plans run from $45.99 to $129.99.

This guide covers what each Kalodata module actually shows, what it costs, how accurate its own team says the numbers are, and the point where a TikTok winner becomes a Shopify question that Kalodata was never built to answer.

Table of Contents

What Kalodata is

Kalodata bills itself as "The Best Tool for TikTok Shop Analytics & Insights" and sits entirely inside TikTok's commerce ecosystem. The homepage counters put its coverage at 200M+ product records, 250M+ creator records, 400M+ video and livestream records, and 1000 days of history.

The company behind it is Kalowave Technology Co., Limited. Kalodata states in its own FAQ that its management team came from TikTok's global e-commerce division and were key members in the development of TikTok Shop from the beginning, and it also states plainly that it is an independent platform with no affiliation to, endorsement by, or official association with TikTok, TikTok Shop or ByteDance.

That background is the reason the tool is organized the way it is. Every module maps to a decision a TikTok Shop seller makes: which product, which creator, which video format, which livestream, which ad.

What Kalodata actually shows

The six research modules Kalodata organizes TikTok Shop data into

Kalodata's Explore menu splits the data into six modules, each a different way into the same marketplace.

Category. The top-down view. Start here to size a niche before you commit to a product, and to see which categories are heating up rather than which single item spiked yesterday.

Shop. Competitor shops on TikTok Shop, so you can study a seller's whole catalogue and momentum instead of a single listing.

Product. The module most people arrive for. Trending product analysis is the headline use case Kalodata promotes on its homepage, alongside influencer collaboration, advertising optimization and competitor insight.

Creator. Affiliate research. TikTok Shop runs on creators, and this is where you shortlist the ones already moving units in your category rather than the ones with the biggest follower count.

Video & Ad. The creative layer. You get the short-form videos and ads attached to products, which is how you work out the hook, the format and the offer behind a product's sales curve.

Livestream. Live selling gets its own module, which matters because livestream is a genuinely different sales motion from a feed video, with different pacing and different economics.

Kalodata also ships three AI products alongside the analytics: Kaloboost, described as an AI-driven affiliate platform, Kaloclip, an all-in-one AI content platform for e-commerce, and KaloPilot, an AI agent for market and business insights.

Kalodata pricing

Kalodata monthly subscription prices published on its App Store listing

Kalodata's web pricing page asks you to sign in before it will show plans, so the clearest public price list is the set of monthly subscriptions published on Kalodata's App Store listing:

  • US Basic - $45.99/month
  • Starter - $49.99/month
  • Global Standard - $61.99/month
  • UK Standard - $89.99/month
  • US Standard - $99.99/month
  • Professional - $129.99/month

Two things stand out in that list. First, pricing is regional: the listing carries separate Basic and Standard plans for the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico and a global tier, so what you pay depends on which market's data you want rather than on a single global ladder. A UK Basic plan is listed at the same $45.99 as the US one, while UK Standard sits at $89.99 against $99.99 for US Standard.

Second, there is no permanently free tier. Kalodata advertises a free 7-day trial on its homepage with "No credit card needed", and after that a paid plan is required. Prices move, so confirm the current figure on the plan selector for your region before you subscribe.

For context on where that sits: a Kalodata Professional seat at $129.99 a month is roughly six times the $22/month Koala Inspector charges for its Premium plan, and the two tools are answering different halves of a research question anyway.

How accurate the numbers are

Kalodata is unusually candid about this, and the honesty is worth reading before you build a business case on a figure.

In its own FAQ, Kalodata says that "certain details, like transaction amounts and ad spending, might have small variations from real-world numbers", that its models are trained and updated daily, and that its main goal is helping users "discover products, stores, and content that are worth exploring, learning from, and getting inspired by". It then adds the important caveat: "it's important not to use our data in situations requiring high precision, such as partner commission settlements or performance evaluations."

That is the right way to read every third-party commerce analytics tool, Kalodata included. The numbers are modeled estimates built for ranking and comparison. Use them to decide which product to test and which creator to approach. Do not quote them as a competitor's audited revenue.

Where Kalodata stops

A TikTok Shop winner becomes a Shopify store research question

Kalodata's territory is TikTok Shop, and it covers that territory thoroughly. The limit is a scope limit rather than a quality one: it reports on TikTok's marketplace, and a Shopify storefront sits outside it.

That matters because of what happens next in a real research session. You find a product climbing in Kalodata. You watch the video that made it climb. Then you want to know who else is already selling it off-platform, and the answer is almost always a Shopify store. At that point the questions change shape:

  • Which Shopify store is selling this product, and at what price?
  • What does the rest of its catalogue look like, and which items are its actual best-sellers?
  • Which theme is it converting on, and can I buy the same one?
  • Which apps is it running for reviews, email capture, upsells and bundling?
  • How much traffic does it get, and where does that traffic come from?
  • Is it running Google or Facebook ads on this product right now?

None of that lives inside a TikTok Shop dataset. It lives on the storefront, and reading a storefront is a different job with a different tool.

The two platforms are connected in practice, which is why this handoff comes up so often. TikTok publishes its own official Shopify app, which syncs TikTok Shop to Shopify and lets merchants manage TikTok Shop orders and inventory inside Shopify admin. It carries a 4.8 rating from 15,361 reviews, so the overlap between the two audiences is enormous. Plenty of the products you find trending on TikTok are being sold by a Shopify merchant on the other side of the link.

The Shopify half of the research

The apps most often installed across the Shopify stores Koala tracks

This is the part of the workflow Koala Inspector was built for. It is a free Chrome extension: open any Shopify store and it reads the store back to you.

  • Every installed app, grouped by what each one does, through the Shopify app detector. Free, no tokens.
  • The active theme, including paid and custom themes, with a link straight to that theme in the Shopify theme store. Free, through the theme detector.
  • The full product catalogue with likely best-sellers, prices and variations you can sort and favourite. Free.
  • Site traffic - monthly visits, sources, top keywords, demographics and geography.
  • Ad campaigns - the Google and Facebook or Instagram ads a store is running.
  • Shop tracking - ongoing monitoring that logs when a competitor adds or removes an app, switches theme, changes a price or adds a product.

The app stack is the single most underrated read here, because it is where a store's conversion machinery is visible. Across the Shopify stores Koala tracks, the most-installed apps in the 9 August 2026 snapshot were Judge.me Product Reviews on 2,425 stores, Klaviyo Email Marketing and SMS on 1,895, Shopify Inbox on 1,050, Klarna On-Site Messaging on 1,028 and PageFly Landing Page Builder on 846. That is Koala's own data, covering the stores Koala tracks rather than all of Shopify, and it tells you what the working setup in this market looks like: social proof first, then email and SMS, then live chat, then payment messaging.

When you open a specific competitor and see that same shape, you know they are running the standard playbook. When you see something unusual, that is the interesting part of the read.

Pricing on the Koala side is deliberately blunt. The Free plan gives you 15 tokens a month with no credit card, and app detection, theme detection, product browsing and best-sellers cost zero tokens, so the core storefront read is free forever. Traffic, ads, trends and tracking draw tokens, and Premium at $22/month adds 220 tokens a month plus tracking for up to 50 stores.

Run the two tools in sequence and the workflow closes: Kalodata tells you what is winning on TikTok, Koala Inspector tells you how the Shopify store selling it is built.

Kalodata questions people ask

Kalodata FAQ

The questions that come up most often around Kalodata, answered from its own public pages.

How much is Kalodata per month?+

Kalodata's App Store listing publishes monthly subscriptions running from $45.99 for a Basic plan to $129.99 for Professional, with regional variants in between: Starter at $49.99, Global Standard at $61.99, UK Standard at $89.99 and US Standard at $99.99. Pricing is split by market, so the plan that covers US data costs more than the equivalent Basic tier. Kalodata's own pricing page requires a sign-in, so confirm the current figure on the plan selector for your region before you subscribe.

What is Kalodata used for?+

TikTok Shop research. Sellers use it to size categories and find trending products, brands use it to shortlist creators and study competitor shops, and content teams use it to reverse-engineer the videos, ads and livestreams driving sales. Kalodata describes its own purpose as helping TikTok Shop sellers, brands, creators and affiliates make data-driven decisions using information on trending products, influencers, short videos, livestreams, market research and competitive analysis.

How to get Kalodata for free?+

Kalodata offers a free 7-day trial and states on its homepage that no credit card is needed to start it. There is no permanently free plan, so once the trial expires you need a paid subscription. If what you need is the Shopify side of the research, Koala Inspector's free plan covers app detection, theme detection, product catalogues and best-sellers at no cost and with no card.

How accurate is Kalodata?+

Kalodata's figures are modeled estimates. Its own FAQ says details like transaction amounts and ad spending might have small variations from real-world numbers, that its models are retrained daily, and that the data should not be used where high precision is required, such as partner commission settlements or performance evaluations. Use the numbers to rank and compare products, creators and shops, and treat any single revenue figure as directional.

Does Kalodata show Shopify store data?+

No. Kalodata reports on TikTok Shop, so a Shopify storefront sits outside its scope. It will not tell you which apps or theme a Shopify store runs, what its full catalogue looks like, or where its traffic comes from. Koala Inspector is a free Chrome extension that covers exactly that, and the two work well back to back.

Is Kalodata affiliated with TikTok?+

No. Kalodata states that it is an independent SaaS analytics platform operated by Kalowave Technology Co., Limited, and that it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially associated with TikTok, TikTok Shop or ByteDance.
